An account holds your name, email address and the operator records you choose to create - fleet, pilots, compliance documents, flight checks and saved areas. Without an account, records you create are stored only in your own browser and never reach our servers.
Account data is stored in our hosted database (Supabase) and is only readable by members of your own organisation, enforced at the database level. We do not sell personal data and we run no third-party advertising or tracking.
If you allow location access, your position is used on your device to centre the map. It is not transmitted to our servers or stored.
Two things are public, both opt-in and both requiring your explicit confirmation first: an operator profile (name, services, coverage areas, bio, website, CAA operator ID) and any flight report you publish (flight name, description, category, area, window, height and operator name).
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s pages and never touch Drone Map. We receive confirmation of payment and the email used, so we can activate your plan.
Place search uses OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim service; searched text and, for reverse lookups, map coordinates are sent to it through our server. Airspace data is fetched from NATS, OpenAIP and Altitude Angel server-side without any of your data attached.
You can export your records at any time, and request account closure and deletion by emailing support@dronemap.co.uk. Records are deleted within 30 days of a closure request. You also have the rights UK GDPR gives you - access, rectification, erasure, portability and complaint to the ICO.
